4-Hour Surprise Adventure Engagement Session Timeline
Ready for an adventure filled with love, surprises, and stunning views? Picture this: your day starts with a surprise proposal at the breathtaking Garden of the Gods, followed by a fun photo session capturing your joy and excitement. From there, we explore the charming streets of Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City, with a cozy food stop to capture your personalities. It’s the perfect mix of romance, adventure, and unforgettable moments!
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Surprise Proposal at Garden of the Gods
We’ll kick things off with your surprise proposal at a pre-planned spot in Garden of the Gods. I’ll be there to capture every moment as you pop the question and celebrate together. Afterward, we’ll spend the next hour capturing portraits and candid shots with the stunning red rocks and Pikes Peak as your backdrop.
4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Drive to Downtown Manitou Springs
After the excitement at Garden of the Gods, we’ll head over to Downtown Manitou Springs—just a short drive. It’s a great time to relax and enjoy a little break before our next stop.
4:30 PM – 5:15 PM: Explore Downtown Manitou Springs
In Manitou Springs, we’ll wander the charming streets, taking in the unique architecture and vibrant energy. We’ll capture relaxed, fun moments as we explore the town’s quirks and character.
5:15 PM – 5:45 PM: Drive to Old Colorado City
A quick 10-minute drive will take us to the historic Old Colorado City for the final part of our session.
5:45 PM – 6:30 PM: Capture the Charm of Old Colorado City
We’ll wrap up the session in Old Colorado City, capturing intimate shots against the charming historic streets, brick storefronts, and beautiful golden hour light. It’s the perfect way to end your engagement session just as the sun sets.

Engagement Day Tips
Every couple that is planning their wedding should consider an engagement photo shoot to commemorate this super exciting time in life. Here are some helpful tips!
1. What should I wear?
I always recommend earthy tones, and to avoid bright colors.
Lighter colors are usually the way to go! White, Pale yellow and pale blue work well, especially with jeans or kaki pants. These colors work great in nature. I want you to be comfortable, so let your personality show!
Steam or iron the outfits ahead of time.
2. Should I bring anything to our session?
Bring anything that might be meaningful to your relationship. Example: Guitar, Books, Coffee Mugs, etc.
3. What type of shoes should I wear?
Definitely wear your best shoes during your photo session, but consider bringing a pair of walk-around/hiking shoes as well.
4. Can I bring my dog/pet?
Fur babies are always welcome to join the shoot.
5. What time should we schedule our session?
It all depends on the day and month we decide to meet, but don’t worry—I’ll help you pick the best possible time for gorgeous lighting and the perfect atmosphere!
6. We've never taken photos before, can you help?
I describe my style as documentary, which means I'll be capturing the moment as we get to hang out and know each other better. I'll help out with posing, and all the other things to make it a super fun experience that you will remember for a lifetime!
7. What locations can we have our engagement session?
Colorado is full of wonders, with so many beautiful areas to explore! I’d be happy to recommend some of my favorite spots just for you.
8. Do you offer in home sessions?
Yes, in home sessions are a wonderful way to capture your love, because what better way to celebrate yourselves than by being at the place you feel most at home!
